Job summary

Summerset Kenepuru village is seeking a Caregiver to join a team delivering personal care and support to our residents. This 12-month fixed-term maternity cover role is full-time with a 4 on 2 off roster, including morning, afternoon and night shifts.

You will provide meals, hygiene assistance, and support with individual care plans, activities and social engagement. Experience in aged care, strong communication and a compassionate, patient approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Empathetic, kind and patient with a caring approach.
• Experience in aged care or a similar role.
• Strong verbal communication to build relationships.
• Able to work a 4 days on, 2 days off roster including mornings, afternoons and nights.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and assist with mealtimes.
• Help with hygiene, such as showers.
• Support individual care plans, including walks and exercises.
• Assist with activities (e.g., puzzles, table tennis).

As a Caregiver at our Kenepuru village you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

This is a 12-month fixed-term Caregiver role covering maternity leave. Full-time, 4 on 2 off roster, mixed AM/PM shifts.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

Qualifications

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You'll bring with you:

• Experience in aged care or a similar role
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
• Commitment to a rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts
• Ability to work a roster pattern of 4 days on and 2 days off (immediate start)
