Job summary

Summerset Holdings in the Kenepuru village of Marlborough is seeking a Caregiver to provide personal care and daily living assistance to residents. You will work as part of a team to create a safe, healthy and enjoyable lifestyle for our residents.

This 12-month fixed-term Caregiver role covers maternity leave. The full-time 4 on 2 off roster includes morning and evening shifts, with a strong emphasis on compassionate, resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Must be empathetic, kind and patient.
• Experience in aged care or a similar role preferred.
• Strong verbal communication to build lasting relationships.
• Commitment to a.rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and assist with mealtimes.
• Aid with hygiene, including assisting with showers.
• Support with individual care plans, walks and exercises.
• Help with resident activities and engagement such as puzzles or table tennis.

Job Description:

As a Caregiver at our Kenepuru villageyou will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes


• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering


• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises


• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a 12-month fixed-term Caregiver role covering maternity leave. Full-time, 4 on 2 off roster, mixed AM/PM shifts.

Qualifications:

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You'll bring with you:

• Experience in aged care or a similar role


• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships


• Commitmentto a rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts


• Ability to work a roster pattern of 4 days on and 2 days off (immediate start)
