Job summary

Summerset Retirement Villages in New Zealand seeks a compassionate Caregiver for the Waikanae Memory Care Centre. You will join a dedicated team delivering resident-directed care in a secure, supportive setting, assisting with meals, hygiene, and activities to promote quality of life.

Job Description

As a Caregiver at our Waikanae village you will work as part of our compassionate team in the Memory Care Centre, where we deliver high-quality, resident-directed care for people living with dementia. Our secure, specialist environment supports safety while promoting a fulfilling and enjoyable lifestyle, with each resident’s quality of life at the heart of everything we do. Our care is resident-directed, meaning we tailor care and support to each individual’s preferences, values, and needs.

This is a full time position, working AM/PM shifts on a 4 on 2 off roster.

Typical Duties Include

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc
