Job summary

Summerset Retirement Villages in Lower Hutt is seeking a Caregiver to join the team at Boulcott Village. You will contribute to creating a safe, healthy and enjoyable lifestyle for residents, delivering personal care and daily assistance as part of a supportive team.

The role operates on a fixed-term contract from 23 November 2026 to 15 June 2027, with a 4 on, 2 off AM/PM shift rotation, and a focus on compassionate, patient care throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or a similar role.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships.
• Commitment to a rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts.
• Ability to work a roster pattern of 4 days on and 2 days off.

Responsibilities

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes.
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering.
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises.
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc.

Job Description

As a Caregiver at our Boulcott Village you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

This is a fixed term role from 23 November 2026 until 15 June 2027, working 4 on 2 off AM/PM shifts.
