Job summary

Summerset by the Lake Village in Taupo is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to join our team. In a casual, as-needed capacity you will help provide personal care, support daily living activities, and contribute to a safe, enjoyable living environment for residents.

Typical duties include meals, hygiene assistance, activity support, and adherence to individual care plans, working closely with the village team to ensure high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Empathy, kindness and patience are essential to support residents.
• Strong verbal communication helps build lasting relationships with residents and families.
• Commitment to being available for shifts, sometimes on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and assist with mealtimes.
• Assist with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
• Support residents' care plans, including movements and exercises.
• Help with activities to keep residents engaged.

Job Description

As a Caregiver at our Summerset by the Lake Village in Taupo,you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a Casual role. Working on an as and when needed basis

Qualifications

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll bring with you:

• Experience in aged care or a similar role
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
• Commitmentto being available for a variety of shifts, sometimes at short notice
