Job summary

Summerset in the Bay Village, Napier, is hiring a casual Caregiver to join a team dedicated to creating a safe, healthy and enjoyable lifestyle for residents. The role involves providing personal care and daily assistance to residents, with duties including meals, hygiene, mobility support and engagement in activities.

We welcome empathetic, patient candidates with aged care experience and a willingness to cover a variety of shifts, including short notice, with excellent communication to build

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or a similar role.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships.
• Commitment to being available for a variety of shifts, sometimes at short notice

Responsibilities

Job Description:

As a casual Caregiver at our Summerset in the Bay Villageyou will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a Casual role. Working on an as and when needed basis

Qualifications:

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll bring with you:

• Experience in aged care or a similar role
