Job summary

Summerset Retirement Villages in Warkworth is seeking a caring Caregiver to join our village team. You will provide personal care and assist residents with daily activities to help maintain a safe, enjoyable lifestyle.

The role operates on a 4 days on, 2 days off roster with morning, afternoon, and night shifts. Experience in aged care is preferred; weekend coverage may apply with penalty rates and opportunities to progress qualifications.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or similar role.
• Empathetic, kind and patient disposition.
• Ability to work a rotational roster across mornings, afternoons, and nights.

• Deliver meals and assist with mealtimes.
• Aiding with hygiene and daily personal care.

Job Description

As a Caregiver at our Warkworth village, you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical Duties Include

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a permanent role working a roster four days on, two days off (Cover AM shifts - minimum 60 and maximum 80 hours per fortnight).

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll Bring With You

• Experience in aged care or a similar role
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
• Commitment to a rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts
• Ability to work a roster pattern of 4 days on and 2 days off
