Summerset Retirement Villages in Whanganui is seeking a caring caregiver to support residents with daily personal care, meals, mobility, and activities in a team-based environment. This casual, on-demand role emphasises compassion, reliability and strong communication to build lasting relationships with residents and families.

Experience in aged care or similar roles is preferred. Availability for various shifts, including short-notice requests, is important to cover weekends and peak times.

Job Description

As a Caregiver at our Whanganui village you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical Duties Include

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a Casual role. Working on an 'as and when required' basis.

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.
