Summerset Retirement Villages is seeking a part-time Caregiver at The Palms Village to support residents with daily living activities and personal care. You will work as part of a caring team to deliver meals, assist with hygiene, and implement individual care plans, while helping residents stay active through engaging activities.

This role follows a 4 days on / 4 days off morning roster, offering a meaningful schedule in a supportive environment within Hawke's Bay.”

Job Description

As a Caregiver at our Summerset in the Palms Village, you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical Duties Include

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a part time role working 24 - 40 hours per fortnight, on a 4 days on, 4 days off roster with AM shifts.

Qualifications

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll Bring With You

• Experience in aged care or a similar role
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
• Ability to work a roster pattern of 4 days on and 4 days off on morning shifts
