Job summary

Assurant is seeking a skilled Business Systems Analyst to bridge business needs and technology for our New Zealand Automotive transformation. Based in central Auckland on a hybrid arrangement, you will translate complex requirements into clear system behaviors, data rules and acceptance criteria while working with Product, Operations and Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years strong Business Systems Analysis experience within complex technology, platform or transformation environments.
• Ability to translate business, process and technical needs into clear requirements, business rules, system behaviours and acceptance criteria.
• Strong process analysis and workshop facilitation skills, with experience identifying gaps, dependencies and opportunities for improvement.

Responsibilities

• Analyse business, product and operational processes to understand requirements and help shape simpler, effective future-state solutions.
• Translate business needs into clear system requirements, business rules, process flows and acceptance criteria.
• Analyse systems, APIs, integrations and data flows, using technical knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, JSON Schema, SQL and data models.
• Facilitate workshops and collaborate across Product, Operations, Finance, Architecture, Engineering and QA to align business needs with technical solutions.
• Support delivery through requirements traceability, defect analysis and implementation, ensuring solutions remain aligned to agreed business outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, data quality, controls and ways of working.
