Job summary

Assurant, Inc. is seeking a Business Systems Analyst in Auckland on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

The role bridges business needs and technology, turning requirements into clear system behaviours and data rules. You’ll work within the Delivery Team on a hybrid basis from our central Auckland offices, collaborating with Product, Operations, Finance, Architecture, Engineering and QA to deliver transformation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of strong Business Systems Analysis experience within complex technology, platform or transformation environments.
• Ability to translate business, process and technical needs into clear requirements, business rules, system behaviours and acceptance criteria.
• Strong process analysis and workshop facilitation skills, with experience identifying gaps, dependencies and opportunities for improvement.

Responsibilities

• Analyse business, product and operational processes to understand requirements and shape simpler, effective future-state solutions.
• Translate business needs into clear system requirements, business rules, process flows and acceptance criteria.
• Analyse systems, APIs, integrations and data flows, using REST APIs, JSON, JSON Schema, SQL and data models.
• Facilitate workshops and collaborate across Product, Operations, Finance, Architecture, Engineering and QA to align business needs with technical solutions.
• Support delivery through requirements traceability, defect analysis and implementation, ensuring solutions remain aligned to agreed business outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, data quality, controls and ways of working.
