Job summary

Belron New Zealand is seeking a Summer Technician to join our Auto Glazing team in Hastings on a fixed-term basis from mid-January to March 2027. This hands-on role involves repairing and recalibrating vehicle glass while delivering high‑quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.

You’ll receive comprehensive training, top‑quality gear, and ongoing support to develop technical skills. A clean driver's license and NZ work rights are required, with pre-employment drug screening; 30 hours

Qualifications

• No prior autoglass experience required; full training provided.
• Strong customer service mindset and communication skills.
• Physically capable of manual tasks and lifting up to 25 kg.

Responsibilities

• Repair and recalibrate vehicle glass using specialised tools.
• Assist customers with advice and upsell value-added products.
• Learn and apply new technology quickly.
• Support 30-hour roster across Monday–Sunday.

What we’re looking for

• Motivated people with a passion for hands‑on work, and a genuine interest in advancing technical skills with a keen eye for detail.
• No prior Autoglass repair and replacement experience is necessary as we provide comprehensive training.
• A passion for exceptional customer service.
• The ability to learn new technology and systems quickly.
• Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to upsell value‑added products and services.
• Physical capability to repetitively lift heavy items (up to 25kg) during a normal working day.
• A clean driver's license (restricted or full class) is a minimum requirement.
• You must have unrestricted rights to work in New Zealand.
• The preferred candidate will be required to undergo a pre‑employment drug and alcohol screening test.
