Job summary

Belron NZ Ltd is seeking a Fixed Term Summer Technician in Whakatāne to assist our Auto Glazing team with glass repair and calibration using advanced tools. You’ll engage customers, offer value-added services, and ensure an exceptional service experience. Training will be provided, and a collaborative team environment supports skill growth.

The role is 30 hours per week on a fixed-term basis from late November to late March, with strong emphasis on safety, learning, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Motivated with a hands-on approach and keen eye for detail.
• No prior Auto Glass repair experience required; training provided.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• English proficiency and valid NZ work rights required.
• Clean driver’s licence (restricted or full) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Auto Glazing team to repair and recalibrate vehicle glass.
• Interact with customers, explain services and upsell where appropriate.
• Maintain high workmanship and safety standards with modern tools.
• Adapt quickly to new technology and service systems.

What we’re looking for

• Motivated people with a passion for hands‑on work, and a genuine interest in advancing technical skills with a keen eye for detail.
• No prior Autoglass repair and replacement experience is necessary as we provide comprehensive training.
• A passion for exceptional customer service.
• The ability to learn new technology and systems quickly.
• Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to upsell value‑added products and services.
• Physical capability to repetitively lift heavy items (up to 25kg) during a normal working day.
• A clean driver’s license (restricted or full class) is a minimum requirement.
• You must have unrestricted rights to work in New Zealand.
• The preferred candidate will be required to undergo a pre‑employment drug and alcohol screening test.
