Job summary

Plumbing World is seeking a Branch Inventory Controller / Inwards Goods for our Te Awamutu branch in the Waikato. This permanent full‑time role focuses on accurate stock control, receiving and storing stock, and coordinating replenishment with the Distribution Centre.

You will work closely with the Branch Manager and suppliers, ensuring stock records are accurate and that orders are dispatched efficiently. A strong eye for detail and proactive, hands‑on approach are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Experience in inventory control, warehousing, logistics.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Computer literacy, including Word and Excel; D365 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of branch inventory management and stock control processes.
• Receive, check, and accurately process incoming stock.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment.
• Complete cycle counts and stocktakes.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and stock locations.
• Liaise with suppliers, freight providers, and the Distribution Centre regarding stock-related matters.
• Manage purchasing and inventory administration activities.
• Unload deliveries and organise products within the warehouse.
• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders and branch transfers.
• Coordinate the dispatch of goods and outbound freight.
• Maintain a clean, safe warehouse environment.
• Ensure all stock movements are recorded and processed.
