Job summary

The Canterbury distribution team at Reliance Recruitment is seeking an Inventory Controller to ensure accurate stock management and smooth operations at our Christchurch distribution centre, working closely with the national procurement team.

You will handle hands-on inventory control, receipting goods, cycle counts, and use digital systems to log deliveries, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience with inventory control and warehousing processes.
• Strong numeracy and attention to detail are essential.
• Good communication skills and ability to log data accurately.
• Ability to plan, organise and manage workloads under pressure.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on inventory control and administration.
• Receipting and checking incoming goods.
• Stocking, rotating, loading and unloading product.
• Cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Use digital systems to log and track deliveries.
• Investigate stock discrepancies and resolve out-of-stock issues.
• Manage purchases, returns, repairs and warranty claims.
• Coordinate special orders and liaise with stakeholders.
