Job summary

Meridian Energy is seeking a BI Analytics Engineer to enable high‑value analytics and decision‑making by designing and maintaining trusted, analytics‑ready data models for scalable, self‑service analytics across the business. This role requires expertise in data engineering, BI analytics and development, and cross‑functional collaboration to deliver a strategic view of data modelling across domains.

You will work with cloud platforms like Databricks, Snowflake or Fabric, and use modern tooling

Qualifications

Experience designing analytics and semantic layers for usable metrics and downstream consumption.
Proven ability to develop and operate analytics models on cloud data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Fabric).
Strong proficiency with modern analytics engineering tooling (dbt, Spark Declarative Pipelines / Delta Live Tables).
Experience with data modelling across Dimensional/ Kimball, Data Vault and One Big Table (OBT).
Degree in quantitative/technical field or 5+ years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Design and maintain analytics-ready data models translating business questions into reliable assets.
Consult with the business to build an enterprise view of data modelling across domains.
Support scalable, self-service analytics and ensure analytic usability for stakeholders.
