Job summary

Ten O'clock Cookie Bakery Cafe in Wellington invites an experienced baker to join a friendly, hardworking team. This role emphasises high-quality baking, with optional cake decorating duties for celebrations and custom cakes.

You’ll work a 5-day roster across three daily shifts, with shift patterns determined to fit the team. Saturday and public holiday work are essential requirements, ensuring reliable coverage.

Qualifications

• Solid baking experience; qualification is a bonus but not essential.
• Cake decorating and finishing experience preferred but not essential.
• Sound knowledge of baking techniques and food safety.

About us

The role

We're on the lookout for an experienced baker to join our friendly, hardworking team. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in their craft and wants a stable role in a supportive environment. Cake decorating skills would be a real bonus, as we would love someone who can help with our celebration and custom cakes.

You’ll work 5 days a week on a roster across our three daily shifts. The shift pattern will be worked out based on where you’ll best fit in the team.

What we’re looking for:

• Solid baking experience (a recognised qualification is a bonus but not essential)
• Cake decorating and finishing experience preferred but not essential
• Sound knowledge of baking techniques and food safety
• Available to work Saturdays and public holidays (essential)
• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
• Physically fit – able to lift 20kg bags of flour
• Committed to high product quality and hygiene standards
