Job summary

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate production across lines from schedules and liaise with management and planning.

• Assign work tasks and monitor performance against operational standards.
• Oversee line start‑up and product changeovers to maintain continuous, efficient production.
• Monitor output, downtime, and efficiency; recommend productivity improvements.
• Oversee first‑line troubleshooting and escalate complex faults as needed.
• Ensure safe use of filling, capping, labeling and packaging equipment; support maintenance.

Job Description

• Plan and coordinate production across production lines from schedules, liaising with management, planning, and adjoining areas.
• Supervise and schedule teams, coordinating activities between production lines and other departments.
• Assign work tasks to production team members and monitor team members’ work performance against operational standards.
• Oversee line start‑up and product changeover on production lines to maintain continuous, efficient production.
• Monitor line output, throughput, downtime, and efficiency, and recommend productivity and quality improvements.
• Oversee first‑line troubleshooting of operational issues; resolve minor operational issues where practical and elevate complex faults to management or Maintenance teams.
• Ensure safe, effective use of automated filling, capping, labelling, and packaging equipment; support preventive maintenance.
• Maintain production records and registers (output, downtime, rejects, batch/traceability) and prepare shift and operational reports.
• Ensure compliance with the Food Act 2014, HACCP, hygiene, GMP, environmental and health and safety requirements, and control hazards.
• Train and instruct workers in operational methods, safety, hygiene, and company policies; support induction.
• Recommend personnel actions with management and requisition materials, packaging, and supplies to sustain production.
• Perform other reasonable duties as required by the employer.

• Pay rate: 28.00- 35.00 New Zealand dollars per hour
• Days required: Monday to Saturday (rosters may apply).
