Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and support a production team on the floor.
• Coordinate daily production activities to meet output targets and timelines.
• Maintain high quality control and ensure specifications are met.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement productivity improvements.
• Conduct team briefings, allocate tasks, and train staff as needed.
• Ensure health and safety procedures and site policies are followed.
• Manage attendance, performance, and day-to-day communication.
• Coordinate with management, warehouse and internal teams for smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate production, quality, and incident records.

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Production Supervisor to lead a busy production team in Auckland. This is a great opportunity for a confident leader who enjoys working on the floor, driving quality standards, and helping people perform at their best.

You will be responsible for supervising a team, ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standard.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and support a production team.
• Coordinate daily production activities to meet output targets and delivery timeframes.
• Maintain high standards of quality control and ensure products meet company and customer specifications.
• Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and implement practical improvements to productivity.
• Conduct team briefings, allocate tasks, and provide hands-on training where required.
• Ensure staff follow health and safety procedures, site policies, and safe operating practices.
• Manage attendance, performance issues, and day-to-day team communication.
• Liaise with management, warehouse, and other internal teams to maintain smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate production, quality, and incident records.

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience as a Production Supervisor, Team Leader, or Senior Production Operator within a manufacturing, food production, packaging, or similar environment.
• Strong people-leadership skills, with the ability to manage, coach, and hold a team accountable.
• A proven focus on quality control, process compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Practical problem-solving ability and confidence making decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Reliable, organised, and comfortable being a hands-on leader on the production floor.
