Qualifications

• Hold a full New Zealand driver’s licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle.
• All round MS Office knowledge and general computer skills.
• Experience working in a residential care facility or with people with complex needs.
• Proactive contribution to Corrections initiatives.
• Ability to maintain clear and professional boundaries under pressure.
• Composure and the ability to de-escalate in demanding situations.
• Adoption of departmental values and alignment to Hokai Rangi strategy.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor residents to support their reintegrative goals.
• Assist residents within the residence and on community outings to promote public safety.
• Support and participate in residents' rehabilitative activities.
• Model pro-social behaviour and uphold safety and boundaries.
