Ara Poutama Aotearoa - Department of Corrections is seeking an Assistant Residence Supervisor in Canterbury. The role involves supervising residents, supporting daily life skills and ensuring safety within secure facilities.

You will contribute to rehabilitation, maintain records and assist with management plans while working a 12-hour cyclic roster including nights and weekends. The position emphasizes structured activities, collaboration with staff, and a commitment to public safety and

Experience working with a diverse range of people, particularly with complex needs and offending profiles.

Mansioni

Provide a structured day with supported and supervised activities for residents with complex profiles.
Support residents to come up with solutions for day-to-day issues.
Supervise residents on community outings (including driving).
Promote public safety through planning, management and supervision of residents.
Assist with each resident's management plan and help achieve goals.
Maintain residence documentation and complete plan updates as required.
Participate in training to develop skills (some training may be physical).
