Job summary

Trade Assist is seeking reliable workers to join a civil crew on asphalt and roading projects in Canterbury. The role is hands-on, outdoors, and physically demanding, with immediate and ongoing work available.

The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, is punctual, and able to work well in a team. Previous asphalt or civil experience is preferred, and a NZ driver licence is advantageous. Training and ongoing support are provided.

About the role: You’ll be working as part of a civil crew across a range of asphalt and roading projects. The work is hands-on, outdoors and can be physically demanding, so we’re looking for people who enjoy staying busy and getting stuck in.

Duties may include:

• Asphalt preparation, laying and finishing
• Raking and shovelling asphalt
• General labouring and site preparation
• Assisting operators and asphalt crews
• Traffic management and site clean-up
• Working safely as part of a team

What we’re looking for

• Previous asphalt or civil experience preferred
