Job summary

Agoge Recruitment – Wellington is seeking an experienced Class 2 Driver / Asphalt Labourer to join a hardworking crew across Wellington and the wider region. This is a hands-on role, not just driving, with time split between driving and assisting with asphalt preparation, laying and general civil labouring.

The position involves outdoor, physically demanding work, following health & safety procedures, and being part of a small team committed to quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Full Class 2 NZ Driver Licence – essential.
• Previous asphalt or roading experience – essential.
• Physically fit for manual work and outdoor tasks.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work in a small crew.

Responsibilities

• Drive Class 2 vehicles to and from worksites.
• Transport asphalt, materials and equipment.
• Assist with asphalt preparation and laying.
• Rake, shovel and spread asphalt.
• Carry out asphalt repairs and reinstatement work.
• Perform general civil and roading labouring.
• Work with a small, experienced crew.
• Follow site, traffic management and health & safety procedures.
• Work outdoors and perform physically demanding tasks.

We are looking for an experienced Class 2 Driver / Asphalt Labourer to join a hardworking crew working across Wellington and the wider region.

This is a hands-on role, not just a driving job. You’ll spend part of your day behind the wheel and the rest working alongside the crew, helping with asphalt preparation, laying, repairs and general civil labouring.

Payrate - $25-$30 depending on experience

What You’ll Be Doing

• Driving Class 2 vehicles to and from worksites

What We’re Looking For
