OurArea Maintenance Manager'splay a crucial role in ensuring our fleet is performing at its optimum with little to no downtime. Success in this role comes from building strong relationships with our suppliers and customers around the country and ensuring our high expectations around systems and processes, maintenance and compliance are achieved. Expertise in diesel mechanics and strong leadership skills will be instrumental in managing the maintenance and repair activities for our fleet. About The Role:
Jointly manage the fleet maintenance program to maximise customer satisfaction, manage costs and optimise vehicle lifespan and residual value
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers to ensure excellent service and collaboration
Actively oversee the assigned region, including supplier performance meetings and managing maintenance risks
Assist in creating and implementing company maintenance policies
Proactively monitor and manage maintenance costs within set policies, identifying potential areas for improvement
Gain in depth knowledge of TR Group equipment, including brands, components and applications
Provide support to the team, customers and service providers, including being available outside normal work hours when required
Ensure vehicle safety through proactive and preventative measures, maintaining high standards
Manage supplier performance and ensure quality maintenance work is delivered
Address customer maintenance queries and ensure their equipment is serviced efficiently to minimise downtime
About You:
Proven expertise in diesel mechanics, particularly within the heavy transport industry
Technical qualifications and certifications in diesel mechanics are preferred
Experience in supervisory or managerial roles within a maintenance department
Strong leadership and team management skills, promoting collaboration and achieving results
Excellent problem solving and diagnostic abilities to effectively address maintenance challenges
Comprehensive knowledge of safety standards and compliance requirements in heavy transport maintenance
Effective communication and reporting skills to engage with teams and customers
Experience in budget management and cost control to drive operational efficiency
