Liebherr-Australia Pty. Ltd. - New Zealand is offering an Apprentice Technician opportunity in the Earthmoving Division. You will learn to service, maintain and support heavy earthmoving equipment across construction projects, working with skilled professionals and gaining real-world experience while earning a trade qualification.

Start date is Monday 18th January 2027. The program emphasizes safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement within a supportive training environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in, or committed to completing, a Certificate in Heavy Automotive Engineering.
• Interest in mechanical equipment and long-term trade career.
• Good literacy, numeracy and basic computer skills for training records.
• Willingness to learn through structured training and on-the-job experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified technicians with inspection, maintenance, repair and overhaul of heavy equipment.
• Learn to diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical faults.
• Safely operate workshop tools, equipment and lifting devices.
• Complete apprenticeship training and attend trade school as required.
• Work across service areas and participate in on-the-job training.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety, quality, teamwork and continuous improvement.
