Job summary

Liebherr-Australia is seeking a motivated Field Service Technician to service equipment across Auckland and New Zealand. You will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, perform services, and maintain strong customer relationships in the field.

The role requires a trade qualification as a Diesel / Mobile Plant Mechanic, flexibility to travel, and a current driver’s license. Overtime opportunities and a Tool of Trade vehicle are included.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as Diesel / Mobile Plant Mechanic is required.
• Flexibility to travel to customer sites as required.
• Ability to fault find and diagnose mechanical/hydraulic/electrical issues.
• A current driver’s license is mandatory.
• Safety guidelines must be followed at all times.
• Liebherr earthmoving equipment experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in the field.
• Perform major and minor services and routine maintenance.
• Replace components and perform minor fabrication as required.
• Complete service reports and maintain good customer relations.
• Expand and maintain relationships with key customers in the field.
• Commit to a 40-hour week, with potential overtime at time and a half.

About The Role

Liebherr Earthmoving and Material Handling is seeking a motivated and driven Field Service Technicians. In this role you will work in the field across Auckland and New Zealand to service, maintain and repair a broad range of our equipment including wheel loaders, material handlers and excavators.

Duties

• Mechanical, Hydraulic and Electrical diagnosis
• Major and minor services
• Maintenance and component replacements
• Fabrication and new machine build as required
• Complete Service Reports
• Expand and maintain customer relationships in the field
• Dealing directly with Key Customers
• Minimum 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.
• You may be offered additional work beyond your ordinary hours of work at time and half.

Skills & Experience

• Trade qualified as Diesel / Mobile Plant Mechanic
• Liebherr earthmoving equipment experience is desirable
• Flexibility to travel to customer sites and work over-time as required
• Ability to fault find
• A current driver’s license
• Forklift, W, T, R and Air conditioning ticket advantageous
• Basic Word and Excel abilities
• Commitment to maintain, and adhere to safety guidelines in the workplace
