Job summary

ACC New Zealand is seeking an Actuarial Analyst I to join our Actuarial team in Wellington. The role supports actuarial modelling, data analysis, reporting and business insights to inform decisions that improve customer outcomes and keep Kiwis safe.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, accounting or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data, models and complex information; interest in programming and analytical tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; translate findings into business insights and provide actionable advice to stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder relationship management; build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
• Collaborative approach to team engagement and delivery.
• Desire to innovate, improve processes and develop technical capability.

We're looking for an Actuarial Analyst I to join our Actuarial team. Whether you're a recent or near graduate looking to begin your actuarial career, or have already started building actuarial experience, we would love to hear from you.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a broad range of work including actuarial modelling, data analysis, reporting, business insights and strategic projects that support key business decisions and customer outcomes. You'll work with experienced actuaries and a diverse group of stakeholders to turn technical information into actionable insights that help improve customer outcomes while contributing to keeping Kiwis safe at work, at home, and everywhere in between.

Our Actuarial team is collaborative, supportive and committed to continuous learning. You'll have the opportunity to develop your technical and professional capability through exposure to a wide variety of work, while receiving comprehensive support as you progress.

ACC provides a comprehensive study support package to help you continue your journey through the actuarial qualification. This includes paid study leave throughout the year and financial support for study and exam materials.

The appointing salary range for this role is $67,442 - $74,936 based on qualification and experience.

ACC offers a comprehensive benefits package which at present includes an advantageous superannuation scheme (9% contribution) with features like no mandatory employee contribution, optional life and income protection insurance.
