This is a unique opportunity to join a newly formed team and help build capability, influence approaches, and contribute to how operational controls assurance evolves at ACC. As a Senior Operational Controls Assurance Analyst, you'll play a key role in building and maturing our operational controls assurance approach, helping refine the framework, establish practices, and strengthen ACC's control environment to support better outcomes for New Zealanders. This is not a role where everything is already defined. As part of this evolving function, you'll have the opportunity to influence how assurance is delivered, contribute to continuous improvement, and help create practical, value-adding approaches that work in a complex operational environment. You'll need to be comfortable navigating ambiguity, bringing structure to evolving processes, and working collaboratively to identify what good looks like. Operating as a second line function, you'll lead assurance activities across ACC's operational environment, testing controls, assessing their effectiveness, and providing insights that drive improvement. Working closely with stakeholders, you'll provide meaningful insights on control effectiveness, support the identification of improvement opportunities, and help embed stronger first-line risk and control management practices. The appointing salary for this role is $102,000 to $119,000 based on experience and we offer an additional 9% superannuation contribution. ACC offers a comprehensive benefits package which at present includes an advantageous superannuation scheme with features like no mandatory employee contribution, optional life and income protection insurance, and flexibility to change to a locked plan at any time.
