Project Engineer – Mechanical
Job summary
A leading drilling contractor is seeking a Project Engineer – Mechanical to oversee offshore mechanical systems and ensure compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, possess over 5 years of experience, and demonstrate excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience with offshore mechanical systems and equipment preferably from MODU as TSL.
- Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, hydraulics, piping, pressure vessels, and offshore mechanical standards.
- Experience in project management and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee SPS activities involving mechanical equipment, machinery, and structural systems.
- Follow up on inspections, maintenance, and upgrades in accordance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors to ensure project compliance.

- Plan, coordinate, and oversee SPS activities involving mechanical equipment, machinery, and structural systems.
- Follow up on inspections, maintenance, and upgrades in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and classification societies to ensure project execution and compliance.
- Identify mechanical risks, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain project documentation, technical reports, and records of mechanical systems.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for mechanical reliability and safety.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience with offshore mechanical systems and equipment preferably from MODU as TSL.
