Job summary
A healthcare provider in Vestland is seeking an Operating Theatre Assistant to support the surgical team and assist with patient care in a busy operating environment. The role requires technical competency in theatre procedures, a minimum of GCE ‘N’ level or Certificate in Health Care, and at least 1 year of relevant experience. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently are essential. Application will be considered on individual merits.

The Operating Theatre Assistant (OTA) plays a crucial role in supporting nursing and clinical staff to facilitate the efficient functioning of the operating theatre.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to support operations
- Assist with pre‑operative and post‑operative patient care
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in operating and equipment rooms
- Transport patients as needed
- Dispatch specimens to relevant departments
- Prepare and ensure the proper functionality of surgical equipment
- Assist with patient positioning during procedures
- Handle all equipment appropriately and with care
- Minimum GCE ‘N’ level or Certificate in Health Care
- At least 1 year of relevant experience
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative
- Technical competency in operating theatre procedures and equipment
