A facilities management company located in Vestland, Norway is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to carry out inspections, perform preventive maintenance, and manage vendor work. Candidates should possess a Certificate or Diploma in relevant engineering fields and have at least 1 year of experience. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for this role, which ensures a safe and well-maintained environment.
Carry out daily inspections and assessments of facilities, including equipment rooms, building systems and general condition of the premises.
Perform regular and ad-hoc preventive maintenance checks on essential equipment and infrastructure (ACMV, doors/windows, lighting, etc.).
Respond to reactive maintenance calls: troubleshoot faults, carry out repairs on building fabric, fixtures, furniture, fittings, systems, etc.
Manage and coordinate vendor/contractor work: escort contractors, supervise third-party maintenance, ensure work complies with site standards and safety procedures.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, asset condition, spare parts/tools inventories and work orders.
Ensure building systems, equipment and workplace are in a clean, safe and well-presented condition (including minor aesthetic works such as touch-ups, furniture moves, door/lock maintenance).
Monitor safety and compliance: conduct joint EHS/HSW inspections, ensure no violations, correct anomalies, abide by regulatory and client requirements.
Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Facilities / Building Services engineering (e.g., NITEC, vocational/trade certification) or equivalent experience.
Minimum 1 year (or more depending on site complexity) of experience in facilities maintenance, building services or similar environment.
Ability to inspect, diagnose and resolve facility faults and carry out repair works efficiently with minimal supervision.
Good organizational, communication and record-keeping skills (for work orders, vendor coordination and site handover).
Good understanding of health, safety & workplace regulations; ability to spot and rectify hazards.
