Job summary

NES Fircroft in Stavanger is seeking a Senior Telecom Engineer to lead detailed telecom design for offshore projects. You will participate in studies, estimate tasks, and prepare packages while ensuring compliance with ATEX standards and client systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecom/Instrumentation/Automation.
• Or a Technical College degree with extensive offshore oil and gas project experience.
• Minimum 5 years of offshore-related project experience.
• Strong experience in engineering design.
• Knowledge of ATEX, client systems and related methods.
• Extensive knowledge of modifications on offshore installations.
• Strong knowledge of telecom systems, network infrastructure and fiber-optic technologies used in the oil industry.
• Proficiency in Norwegian or strong English skills.

Location: Stavanger

Qualifications:

• industry

• Good knowledge of standards such as ATEX, requirements, client systems and methodes.
• Extensive knowledge of modifications on operational offshore installations.
• Strong knowledge of telecommunication system, network infrastructure and fiber-optic technologies used in the oil industry.
• Proficiency in Norwegian, both spoken and written.
• Alternatively, strong English skills, both spoken and written

Required Certificates:

• EX – Basic EX Training (6–8 hours online or 22.5 hours classroom-based)
• FSE – High and Low Voltage Safety Training with First Aid
• AT / SJA – Work Permit and Safe Job Analysis
