Job summary

Energy As is seeking an experienced telecom engineer for offshore projects in Norway. The role requires 4–7 years of offshore project experience and a strong background in telecommunication systems. You will create and revise drawings, prepare installation work packages, and coordinate with clients and vendors to find optimal technical solutions.

Masters or Bachelor’s degree in telecommunications is required. Norwegian offshore health certificates and EX training are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Offshore project experience 4–7 years.
• Knowledge of NPD, ATEX, IEC61892, and Norsok standards.
• Experience with telecom systems (cables, fibers, LAN, WAN, TMS).
• Familiarity with PA, emergency battery, CCTV systems.
• Understanding ICT security and network topology.
• Experience with Equinor STID and PIMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Performing study work and estimation.
• Produce new documentation and drawings such as telecom block diagrams, loop diagrams and plot plans.
• Revise existing documentation and drawings.

• Discipline check and approval of produced documents and drawings in the project.

Job Responsibilities:

• – Performing study work and estimation.
• – Produce new documentation and drawings such as telecom block diagrams, loop diagrams and plot plans.
• – Revise existing documentation and drawings.
• – Produce work package for installation.
• – Discipline check and approval of produced documents and drawings in the project.
• – Order all telecom materials(bulk/equipment) needed for offshore installation.
• – Knowledge of general interfaces to instrumentation/electrical/automation.
• – Need to understand drawings from different disciplines.
• – Discussions with client and vendor representatives in order to find optimal technical solutions.

Education:

• – Masters or bachelor degree in telecommunications

Work Experience:

• – Experience, 4 to 7 years, within offshore related projects and studies.

Qualifications:

• – Knowledge of relevant standards such as NPD, ATEX, IEC61892 and Norsok
• – Knowledge of modifications on offshore installations when in operation.
• – Knowledge of telecommunication systems as cables, fibers, LAN, WAN, TMS, etc.
• – Knowledge of PA systems, emergency battery systems, and CCTV systems.
• – Knowledge of ICT security and network topology.
• – Knowledge of instrument and electrical equipment used in the oil industry.
• – Knowledge in Equinor systems for performing Engineering work as STIDtag, STIDdoc and STIDloop.
• – Knowledge in use in systems as proark and PIMS.
• – Knowledge in relation to Equinor TR’s related to Telecom.

Certificates:

• – Must have valid Norwegian offshore- and health certificates.
• – Grunnleggende EX kurs ( klasserom 22,5 timer)
