Job summary

Energy AS is seeking an experienced Telecom Engineer to support offshore projects in Rogaland, Stavanger. You will study and estimate project requirements, create telecom drawings, and develop installation work packages.

You will review documentation, manage material ordering, and ensure proper discipline checks across disciplines. The role requires 5–7 years of offshore experience, familiarity with NORSOK, IEC61892, and related standards, and proficiency with Equinor STID tools and Aibel

Qualifications

5–7 years in offshore projects and studies.
Familiar with NPD, ATEX, IEC61892 and NORSOK.
Experience with modifications on offshore installations.
Telecom systems expertise: cables, fiber, LAN/WAN, TMS.
Knowledge of PA systems, emergency battery and CCTV systems.
Understanding of ICT security and network topology.
Experience with equipment used in oil industry.
Valid Norwegian offshore and health certificates.
Proficiency with Equinor STID tools (STIDtag/ STIDdoc/ STIDloop).
Familiarity with Aibel Proark and PIMS.

Responsibilities

Study and estimate project requirements.
Create and update telecom block diagrams, loop diagrams, plot plans.
Review and revise existing documentation and drawings.
Develop work packages for installation activities.
Perform discipline checks and approve documents/drawings.
Order telecom materials for offshore installations.
Understand interfaces with instrumentation, electrical, and automation systems.
Interpret and integrate drawings from multiple disciplines.
Interact with client and vendor representatives to identify optimal technical solutions.
