Job summary

IKM in Stavanger, Norway, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for an offshore modification project. The role involves designing electrical installations, serving as Package Responsible Engineer (PRE), and defining heat trace requirements per P&IDs.

You will prepare MTOs, coordinate with vendors, and produce detailed work packages. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in offshore electrical design, with familiarity with NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, and IEC standards, plus valid FSE, Ex, and HUET

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering with 5+ years in electrical engineering for modification projects.
• Experience on the Norwegian Continental Shelf preferred.
• FSE certificate for high and low voltage with first aid.
• Ex course certificate and HUET are required.

Required expertise

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering for modification projects, preferably on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical design standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, and IEC.
• Experience with technical requirements and software used by offshore operators.
• Strong multidisciplinary understanding and a cooperative, solution-oriented attitude.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Valid FSE (Electrical Safety Regulations) certificate for high and low voltage with first aid.
• Valid basic Ex course certificate.
• Valid offshore health certificate and helicopter underwater escape training (HUET).
