Job summary

Omega 365 Consulting is a leading supplier of skilled project personnel in oil and gas, renewables and infrastructure. We deliver assignments in Norway and internationally. This role focuses on design and verification of electrical installations on offshore projects, with emphasis on heat tracing, MTO preparation, requisitions, vendor follow-up and cross-discipline collaboration. Strong English communication required; Norwegian preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in electrical engineering for modification projects on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

Responsibilities

• Perform and verify design of electrical installations.
• Define and design heat trace requirements per P&IDs.
• Prepare, check and approve MTO and technical requisitions.
• Follow up vendors and interface with other disciplines.
• Input data into engineering registry.

Assignment Description

Perform and verify design of electrical installations.

Define and design heat trace requirement in accordance with P&IDs

Prepare, check and approve MTO.

Prepare check and approve technical requisitions.

Follow up vendors.

Insert data into engineering registry.

Interface with other disciplines

Qualifications

Work experience: Minimum 5 years

Bachelor or Master degree within relevant area

Experience from electrical engineering in modification projects on the Norwegian Continental Shelf

Experience and knowledge of electrical design according to relevant standard such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL and IEC.

technical requirements and tools/software from offshore operators

IEC 61850 and latest protocols/interfaces (GOOSE, MMS, PTP,SV) ( preferred )

Suppliers technical solutions for High and Low Voltage systems and philosophies for system design

Cyber security in electrical systems(IEC 62443 as IACS/OT)

Able to work independently as well as a part of a team.

Offshore Safety Certificate, including Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET)

Medical Fitness Certificate

Basic Ex Training (Explosive Atmospheres) – Minimum 6–8 hours online or 22.5 hours in a classroom

FSE Training for High- and Low-Voltage Electrical Systems, including Practical First Aid
