Job summary

Blue Moon Metals Inc. seeks a General Manager to lead the Nussir site in Northern Norway. You will shape strategy, drive operational performance, and ensure safe, environmentally responsible production while meeting regulatory requirements.

You will manage multidisciplinary teams across mining, processing, maintenance, HSE, and support functions, guiding transition from construction to steady-state operations and collaborating with local communities and authorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Metallurgy, or related field.
• Minimum 20+ years of mining operations experience, with at least 5 years in senior leadership.
• Experience in underground mining and processing facilities.
• Strong regulatory knowledge of Scandinavian or international mining standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the Nussir site operations, ensuring safe and compliant production.
• Develop and execute short- and long-term operational strategies and budgets.
• Oversee mining, processing, maintenance, HSE, and support functions for efficiency and profitability.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with Norwegian authorities and ESG standards.
• Engage with local communities, unions, and stakeholders to foster collaboration.
• Drive continuous improvement, cost control, and safe production targets.
