Job summary

Nussir ASA in Hammerfest Municipality, Finnmark is seeking a proactive Senior Environmental Specialist to join the Compliance, Permits, and Environment team. You will drive external and internal environmental compliance, support permit applications, and contribute to ESG framework development as the project progresses.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering or equivalent.
Proven experience in industrial or mining compliance operations is valued.
Familiarity with Nordic permitting and Norwegian regulatory frameworks is required.
Strong communication with local communities and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Monitor and ensure external environmental protection and regulatory alignment across operations.
Audit internal plant compliance across electrical, structural, and mechanical systems.
Manage marine tailings placement and water management in line with permits.
Prepare and submit routine environmental reports and regulatory filings.
