Job summary

ITP Global invites applications for a Senior Project Manager - Data Centre Construction in Norway. Lead delivery from mobilisation through energisation, coordinating design, procurement, construction and commissioning while safeguarding schedule, budget and safety on a major hyperscale data centre programme.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager on data centre or mission-critical construction projects.
• Strong technical background across construction disciplines with ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience managing subcontractors and complex interfaces on large-scale sites.
• Familiarity with Norwegian/EU standards or strong equivalent international experience.
• Excellent leadership, programme management, commercial awareness and stakeholder communication.
• Qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent technical/trade background.
• Willingness to be based on site in Norway for the duration of the project.
• English proficiency; Norwegian language skills are advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Take senior ownership of project delivery, coordinating design, procurement, construction and commissioning across all packages.
• Act as senior point of contact between client, main contractor and key subcontractors.
• Develop and maintain the overall project programme, tracking milestones and driving corrective action.
• Own project budgets and cost reporting, protecting margin and managing risk with the commercial team.
• Review and approve key technical submittals, RFIs and method statements.
• Oversee site leadership teams, ensuring compliance with designs and Norwegian/EU standards.
• Coordinate with discipline leads to manage interface points effectively.
• Chair and attend senior progress and stakeholder meetings with clear reporting.
• Take overall responsibility for site health and safety and HSE plans.
• Lead commissioning and energisation planning with the commissioning management team.
• Manage quality control, snagging and closeout through to handover.

The Role

This is a senior, hands-on role managing delivery of the project, or a major package, from mobilisation through to energisation and handover, ensuring the works are delivered safely, on programme, to budget, and to the exacting quality standards required in mission-critical environments.

• Take overall responsibility for site health & safety, ensuring compliance with site-specific HSE plans
• Lead commissioning and energisation planning, working closely with the commissioning management team
• Manage quality control, snagging, and closeout documentation through to practical completion and handover

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager on data centre or other mission-critical construction projects
• Strong technical background across construction disciplines, with the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams
• Experience managing subcontractors and complex interfaces on large scale construction sites
• Familiarity with Norwegian and/or EU construction standards and delivery methods (or strong equivalent international experience)
• Excellent leadership, programme management, commercial awareness, and stakeholder communication skills
• Relevant qualification (Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent technical/trade background)
• Willingness to be based on site in Norway for the duration of the project
• English language proficiency essential; Norwegian language skills advantageous but not essential
