Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Project Manager with a strong background in geotechnical construction and ground engineering projects. This role requires an individual who not only excels in project planning and delivery but also has a practical understanding of how geotechnical works are executed on site.

The ideal candidate will come from a geotechnical contracting environment, possess hands-on experience managing complex site operations, and demonstrate a solutions-focused approach to project delivery. Key Responsibilities

• Lead, plan, and deliver large-scale geotechnical construction projects.
• Take full responsibility for project performance, including cost control, programme management, contract administration, HSE, and quality compliance.
• Manage relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
• Maintain a strong presence on site, ensuring efficient operational execution and project delivery.
• Support tender preparation, bid submissions, and contract negotiations.
• Identify new business opportunities and contribute to commercial growth initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement and support the development of project delivery processes and best practices.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Relevant higher education qualification, preferably in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience within a geotechnical contracting or specialist ground engineering environment.
• Strong background in delivering complex construction projects from inception through to completion.
• Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, contracts, and commercial risk.
• Good understanding of HSE regulations, quality management systems, and industry standards.
• Fluency in English is essential. Norwegian language skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
