Job summary

NS Nordics seeks an expert Construction Manager to lead large-scale civil and building projects with precision and efficiency. You’ll leverage planning, delegation, and motivation to deliver projects on time and under budget while driving team performance and project success.

The candidate must have previous experience working in Data Centers in European countries, including all underground services, fueling area attenuation tanks, the shell and core of the DC, generator building and pump rooms,

Qualifications

• Assess and resolve technical issues from drawings and specs.
• Proven track record managing safety, quality and environmental aspects on site.
• Experience with data center sites and utilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure client standards and requirements are met.
• Maintain quality assurance methods on site.
• Provide site orientation and uphold company values and culture.
• Set and enforce site standards; conduct regular inspections for safety.
• Identify and resolve risks; prepare incident reports if needed.
• Plan and organize infrastructure and logistics; ensure trained personnel operate equipment.
• Ensure workmanship and materials meet codes, safety and quality standards.
• Lead training and development initiatives for the team.

Job description

In this key role, you’ll leverage critical planning, delegation, and motivation skills to deliver projects on time and under budget while driving team performance and project success.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that the standards and requirements of the client are met.
• Maintain quality assurance methods.
• Employees should be given orientation in terms of business values and culture.
• Setting and enforcing standards for each job site, as well as making site inspections on a regular basis to ensure that contractors and crews adhere to correct safety measures.
• Reduce risk by resolving violations and potential risks and preparing incident reports in the event of an accident or injury.
• Plan and efficiently organize the site’s infrastructure and logistics, ensuring that all equipment is suitable for purpose and is only operated by adequately trained personnel.
• Ensure that workmanship and material standards are met in line with specifications, building codes, health and safety laws, and quality standards.
• Carry out all necessary training and development initiatives.

Qualification & Experience:

• Degree in Engineering
• PMP course in Project Management
• Numerous in-house training and upskilling for various companies.
• Certificate temporary works coordinator Fluent in Norwegian language

The candidate must have previous experience working in Data Centers in European countries, including all underground services, fueling area attenuation tanks, the shell and core of the DC, generator building and pump rooms, and completing the landscaping package for handover.

Competencies and Skills Required:

• The evaluation of project drawings and specifications in order to identify and resolve technical issues.
• An excellent record of managing Safety, Quality and Environmental issues.
• An excellent knowledge of civil engineering techniques and methods including the health and safety aspects, limitation and implications.
• Fully conversant with sustainable construction methods and practices.
• Planning, programming and resource allocation including the monitoring and reviewing of performance and results.
• Excellent communication at all levels and client management skills.
• Project management experience in a variety of disciplines including design and build management.
