Job summary

Apollo Research in London or San Francisco is hiring a Product Security Engineer to own Watcher’s security posture, design and operate core security controls, and lead security initiatives across the product and customer engagements.

You will collaborate with the Infra & Security team, engage in customer calls, and shape the Watcher security roadmap while delivering clear security communications and risk tradeoffs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in security roles with hands-on technical work
• Engineering mindset; build automated security solutions
• Direct experience in application/cloud/product security
• Experience in a security vendor or security product company
• Comfortable in a small, fast-moving team
• Strong written communication for security docs and incident communications

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate Watcher’s core security controls (IAM, infra/security, endpoint, incident response)
• Set security standards and drive secure-by-default practices
• Lead major security projects end-to-end from ideation to rollout
• Own security questionnaire responses and customer-facing security content
• Engage with customers to map security needs to threat models and failure modes
• Collaborate with Infra & Security to define Watcher’s security roadmap
• Provide security guidance during incidents and customer communications
