Job summary

Apollo Research is hiring a Security Engineer to join the Infra & Security Team in a role based in London or San Francisco. You will design, implement, and deploy security controls across identity, access, cloud, and endpoints, driving secure-by-default pathways and a proactive security culture.

You will lead major projects end-to-end, evaluate vendors for security tooling, and advocate for best practices across engineering and product teams, all in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in security roles with hands-on technical work
• Engineering mindset: build automated security solutions and leverage AI
• Experience with application/cloud/product security and protecting sensitive data
• Influence without authority and ability to gain buy-in from non-security stakeholders
• Thrives in a fast-moving startup environment with ambiguity and changing priorities

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and deploy security controls for Apollo's infra
• Build secure-by-default paths and secure cloud/endpoint architectures
• Advocate security practices across the organization and communicate tradeoffs
• Evaluate vendors and decide build-vs-buy for security infrastructure
• Lead major security projects from ideation through rollout
• Shape security roadmap and priorities collaboratively
