Job summary

Apollo Research is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to own end-to-end deployments, integrations, and white-glove support for Watcher in customer environments. You will run evaluations, deploy into cloud or on-prem, and shape product experiences with real-world feedback.

This in-person role is based in London or San Francisco, with flexibility for travel to customer sites. You’ll work across deployments, pre-sales evaluations, and post-sales support to turn early customers into long-term

Qualifications

• Strong engineering foundation with 3+ years shipping production software.
• Excellent customer-facing communication and calm under pressure.
• Ability to own problems, drive solutions, and follow through.
• Thrives in fast-moving startup environments with ambiguity.
• Judgment on bespoke vs core product requests; able to push back gracefully.
• Clear written communication and ability to document deployments.

Responsibilities

• Own customer deployments end to end across cloud, on-prem, and self-hosted backends.
• Build integrations with customer environments and tune monitors for their traffic.
• Run technical evaluations and POCs with prospects, including security questions.
• Be the named technical contact for key customers and drive product feedback into roadmaps.
