Job summary

A postdoctoral position in the Autophagy group within the Department of Molecular Cell Biology at Oslo University Hospital and University of Oslo is available. The project CancER-phagy aims to unravel ER-phagy in cancer using image-based screens.

The successful candidate will conduct experimental work in molecular cell biology (cell culture, CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing, protein expression and interaction analysis, light microscopy) and may supervise students.

Qualifications

• PhD equivalent to Norwegian doctoral degree in cell biology or molecular biology; must have submitted thesis before application closing date.
• Fluent oral and written English.
• Strong background in molecular cell biology with experience in cell culture, genome editing, protein expression, and microscopy.
• Experience in autophagy or intracellular trafficking is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• The successful candidate will conduct experimental work in molecular cell biology using techniques such as cell culture, CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing, protein expression and interaction analysis, light microscopy and cancer assays.
• The candidate should be able to work independently and collaboratively and communicate results effectively.
