Job summary

The University of Oslo invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow in Molecular Cell Biology in the Autophagy group, Department of Molecular Cell Biology, affiliated with CanCell and Oslo University Hospital.

We seek a highly motivated researcher with a PhD in cell or molecular biology, expertise in CRISPR/Cas9, cell culture, protein analysis, and microscopy. Experience in autophagy or intracellular trafficking is advantageous; the position is funded for three years starting 01.01.2027.

Qualifications

• PhD equivalent to a Norwegian doctoral degree in cell biology or molecular biology (or equivalent).
• Fluent oral and written English.
• Strong background in molecular cell biology.
• Experience with cell culture, CRISPR/Cas9 editing, protein expression and interaction analysis, light microscopy and/or cancer assays.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the project on ER-phagy and cancer-related autophagy using molecular biology and cell-based assays.
• Work independently and in collaboration, interpret and communicate research results.
• Possibly supervise students during the project.
