Job summary

The Autophagy group at the Department of Molecular Cell Biology, Oslo University Hospital, offers a three-year postdoctoral position funded by the Research Council of Norway. The position is affiliated with the Centre for Cancer Cell Reprogramming (CanCell), University of Oslo.

The project, CancER-phagy, investigates ER-phagy in cancer using image-based screens. The successful candidate will work with molecular cell biology techniques, cell culture, CRISPR/Cas9, protein expression, and

Qualifications

  • PhD equivalent to a Norwegian doctoral degree in cell biology or molecular biology.
  • Fluent oral and written English communication.
  • Strong background in molecular cell biology and related techniques.
  • Experience with cell culture, CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing, protein expression and interaction analysis, light microscopy and/or cancer assays.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out experimental laboratory work in molecular cell biology.
  • Apply CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing, protein expression, and microscopy techniques as part of the CancER-phagy project.
  • Interpret and communicate research results, work independently and collaboratively, and potentially supervise students.
