Job summary

Resthon AS is seeking a proactive Head Chef for Nystua Skeikampen for the 2026–2027 winter season with a 1 December 2026 start. The role combines hands-on kitchen leadership with strategic operation in a top mountain destination.

You will lead a kitchen team, manage menus and stock, ensure food safety, and drive guest experiences, while collaborating closely with senior leadership at Resthon/Thon Group. Accommodation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen team in a fast-paced environment.
• Culinary qualification or equivalent with strong leadership.
• Good understanding of food safety and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Daily leadership and operational management of the kitchen
• Personnel responsibility for the kitchen team
• Staff scheduling and workforce planning
• Ordering, receiving, and managing stock and inventory
• Ensuring routines for food safety, health & safety, and internal controls
• Reducing food waste
• Managing supplier relationships
• Planning and executing events, functions, and group bookings
• Collaboration with the General Manager and management team
