Employment type: Permanent
Full-time/Part-time: Full-time
Location: Hokksund
Application deadline: 30 September 2026
About the company
OSO Hotwater AS is a European market leader in the production of stainless, smart and energy-efficient water heaters. Since our establishment in 1932, we have been a technology pioneer, and today our high-tech production and product development takes place in modern premises in Hokksund, Norway. OSO Hotwater is part of the OSO Group, which has 3 factories, two of which are in Norway and one in Sweden, in addition to sales companies in Norway, Sweden, Finland, England and Canada. The group has a total of 240 employees and a total turnover of NOK 1 billion. The head office is in Hokksund, Norway.
We have recently entered an exciting new chapter. In 2025, OSO Group was acquired by the global technology group LG Electronics. With LG’s industrial strength behind us, access to LG technology and distribution network, we are now preparing major investments and further growth for OSO Group in the global market. We combine local roots, Norwegian production quality and short decision-making lines with the strength and development opportunities of one of the world’s largest electronics companies.
About the role
As Master Data Solutions Manager, you will play a key role in OSO’s continued digitalization. You will further develop how the group manages, structures and utilizes master data across business processes, systems and our international operations. The role offers significant influence and the opportunity to establish solutions and ways of working that will have an impact across the entire group.
We see master data as a critical prerequisite for further digitalization, efficiency improvements, and the development of precise and reliable AI tools. The ambition is clear: well-structured and reliable master data should become a real competitive advantage for OSO.
This is not a role for manual data entry. We are looking for someone who wants to build robust processes, clear standards, effective control mechanisms, and solutions that raise data quality. You will be given a clear mandate to challenge established ways of working, unite the organization around common principles and drive improvements from identified needs through to lasting change.
Together with the CIO, you will work closely with product development, production, logistics, and other business units. You will be an important link between business and technology and will ensure that master data and related IT systems support efficient processes, decision support, and reliable reporting.
You will have central responsibility for ensuring that master data flows correctly and securely between systems and is made available for reporting, e-commerce and other relevant internal and external solutions.
The role will be central in shaping future solutions for all types of master data needed for efficient operations, coherent information flow and high data quality — and in building the foundation for OSO’s major digitalisation initiatives.
Key responsibilities
Establish and further develop common standards and governance models for master data across the group, with clear requirements for ownership, quality, information flow and compliance.
Together with the CIO, initiate and decide on the procurement, development, consolidation and phasing out of solutions within agreed mandates and the scope of the role.
Ensure that common master data solutions are established, maintained and continuously improved to support business processes, reporting, analysis, integrations and controlled distribution of master data within the organisation.
Initiate and lead improvement work related to master data processes, system support, integrations and information flow.
System and product ownership
Act as system owner and/or product owner for relevant master data solutions and business systems.
Hold overall responsibility for assigned solutions throughout their lifecycle, including governance, business value, user adoption, performance, budget and compliance with approved standards.
Prepare, maintain and implement system development plans for assigned solutions in line with OSO’s strategies and objectives.
Establish and maintain training and super-user networks to ensure effective and consistent use of assigned solutions across the group.
Manage stakeholder and supplier relationships and ensure strong collaboration between business functions, users and service providers.
Lead the establishment of new master data solutions and drive consolidation, modernisation and phasing out of older or fragmented systems where appropriate.
Master data processes and data quality
Establish, maintain and continuously improve group-wide processes and controls for master data and data quality.
Define and follow up requirements and metrics for data quality, and ensure the necessary corrective actions.
Ensure clear ownership, responsibility and governance of master data across business functions, processes and systems.
Identify and follow up deviations in data quality, processes and governance through structured improvement measures and root cause analyses.
Develop competence and promote best practice in master data governance, data quality, processes and supporting systems.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who combines a broad business perspective with an eye for detail and quality. You are able to view master data, processes and systems from a group-wide perspective, while also being technically strong enough to go into the details and understand how data and information flows are actually connected.
The role requires you to involve relevant professional environments, map needs, develop new processes, make decisions and follow the work all the way through to implementation and results.
You work independently and in a structured way, while also collaborating well across companies, disciplines and with external suppliers of advanced IT systems.
We expect you to have education within IT and experience from similar technical roles. This is not a role for registering master data, but for establishing solutions, processes and system support that make master data a valuable asset for OSO.
Desired qualifications
Education: Higher education in IT, logistics, finance, administration or equivalent. Relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal education.
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience with the development or management of master data solutions, processes or business systems, preferably from complex ERP environments and larger organisations.
AI competence: Good practical experience using AI tools, combined with an understanding of how AI can be used to improve data quality, processes, reporting and decision support. The role should actively contribute to the assessment, development and implementation of relevant AI solutions in the organisation.
System understanding: Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and related Data Management tools. Experience with PIM, PLM, integrations, e-commerce or comparable systems used to register, manage, distribute or use master data is an advantage.
Technical skills: Technical IT understanding sufficient to act as product owner and, together with strategic suppliers, drive the implementation, operation and further development of IT solutions and integrations. Strong competence in data processing and analysis, for example in Excel, Power BI and SQL, as well as experience with process mapping, process design and relevant tools for process modelling and documentation.
Languages: Fluent written and spoken English.
We offer
A central and responsible role in a company with a strong and long-term owner in LG.
A positive working environment with a strong focus on competence development and training.
Competitive terms with good pension and insurance schemes.
Flexible working hours and a canteen arrangement.
