Job summary

Kongsberg Maritime is expanding its Project Department and seeks a Project Manager to Grilstad in Trondheim. You will own a portfolio of customer projects and deliveries, coordinating colleagues across our international organization, including stakeholders in Asia.

You will lead with strong planning, prioritisation, and coordination skills, collaborating with engineering, product specialists and customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, technology, or another relevant discipline.
• Experience in project management, coordination, or technical customer deliveries.
• Sufficient technical understanding to communicate with engineering and product specialists.
• Commercial and financial understanding, including cost, risk and project performance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Manage several customer projects simultaneously from handover to final delivery.
• Ensure projects are delivered per scope, schedule, cost and quality.
• Develop, maintain and follow up project plans, milestones and priorities.
• Monitor project finances, risks, costs and variation orders.
• Coordinate internal specialists, suppliers and contributors to ensure progress.
• Act as key point of contact for customers and provide timely project reporting.

We are strengthening our Project Department and are looking for a Project Manager to join our team at Grilstad in Trondheim. In this role, you will take ownership of a portfolio of customer projects and deliveries. You will manage multiple projects simultaneously, requiring strong planning, prioritisation, and coordination skills. You will work with colleagues and customers across our international organisation, including projects and stakeholders in Asia.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership, creating structure, and leading projects from handover through final delivery.

What you will be doing

• Manage several customer projects simultaneously, from handover to final delivery
• Ensure projects are delivered according to agreed scope, schedule, cost and quality
• Develop, maintain and follow up project plans, milestones and priorities
• Monitor project finances, risks, costs and variation orders
• Coordinate internal specialists, suppliers and other contributors to ensure progress
• Act as a key point of contact for customers and provide clear, timely project reporting
• Work across functions and locations in an international delivery environment

What we are looking for

• A bachelors or masters degree in engineering, technology or another relevant discipline. Relevant experience may compensate for formal education
• Experience from project management, project coordination or technical customer deliveries
• Sufficient technical understanding to communicate effectively with engineering and product specialists
• Commercial and financial understanding, including the ability to follow up cost, risk and project performance
• As all communication, both internally and with external customers, is conducted in English, strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential
